Sarah-Kate Caughey, influenced by years of experience with designer Louise Kennedy and a strong lineage of female fashion retailers, has launched her own store named Sketch in Leixlip. Deeply passionate about family heritage, Caughey emphasizes the importance of connection and soul in products she selects, favoring brands that are family-owned or have a rich history. One such product is a scented candle from Cerería Mollá, a family business that has existed since 1899, reflecting her commitment to meaningful, heritage-driven goods in her fashion and lifestyle store.
I always gravitate towards family brands, second or third generation. A lot of what we invest in comes back to family. There's always a soul behind a product when family is involved.
It makes no sense for me to stock a candle but I fell in love with the product and its heritage.
