Mismatched
"After years in the corporate world, I allowed myself to change slowly and with care. Photography became a way to learn, to grow, and to feel professionally fulfilled without losing softness. With time, my love for big cities began to fade. I moved closer to nature and found a different rhythm quieter, more attentive. In this place, I am building my own photo space, shaped by curiosity and a slower way of seeing."
"This shift became a starting point for Mismatched: a gentle reflection on the idea that we do not always belong where we appear to fit. I am drawn to contrasts. Calm and tension, softness and structure, intuition and form. I like letting opposites exist side by side, without forcing harmony. My work grows from empathy and observation, allowing transformation to exist without the need for explanation."
Magda Sekieta left the corporate world and transitioned into photography through a slow, careful process. Photography became a tool for learning, growth, and professional fulfillment while retaining softness. A diminishing love for big cities prompted a move closer to nature, yielding a quieter, more attentive rhythm and the construction of a personal photo space shaped by curiosity and a slower way of seeing. The Mismatched project reflects the idea of not always belonging where one appears to fit. The creative approach embraces contrasts, allows opposites to coexist without forced harmony, and prioritizes empathy, observation, and collaborative trust.
