The Insofu Collection, launched by Chopard in 2022, features a 6,225-carat emerald named after the Bemba word for elephant, reflecting its majestic form. This collection includes 15 pieces, drawing inspiration from nature and Art Deco. Chopard emphasizes transparency and ethical sourcing, working closely with gem-cutters in India to showcase the emerald's beauty. The cutting process transformed the rough stone into 850 carats of high-quality gems, maintaining the emerald's essence while also highlighting its story and the importance of sustainable practices in luxury jewelry creation.
In every stone lies a story, and my role is to listen and honor the natural magic they carry as treasures from the Earth, says Caroline Scheufele.
With the Insofu Collection, it was about respecting this inherent beauty. I chose the finest quality stones from the heart of the emerald, pairing them with diamonds, pink sapphires, and pearls.
