Southampton is reportedly close to sealing a 7m deal for forward Ben Brereton Diaz from Villarreal, who had a tough spell at the La Liga club with no goals in 20 appearances but had a successful loan stint at Sheffield United scoring six goals.
Southampton, recently promoted back to the Premier League, is boosting their squad by also securing deals for Sao Paulo forward Juan and left-back Wellington.
