Rafael Louzan's seven-year ban from public office, imposed due to misconduct during his presidency of the Pontevedra Provincial Council, has been overturned by Spain's Supreme Court. The court found no corrupt practices linked to Louzan's granting of an €86,311 subsidy for a soccer field renovation. Consequently, Louzan is now eligible to run in the upcoming RFEF presidential elections set for December 2024.
