Starting March 26, Parkinson's UK and The Wingate Foundation will offer weekly non-combat boxing sessions to support individuals with Parkinson's disease. These adaptive classes focus on enhancing brain-body coordination, balance, and movement in a friendly and supportive environment. Participants are encouraged to engage in physical activity to improve their overall well-being. The community initiative, inspired by similar programs, aims to create social connections among attendees while emphasizing the importance of staying active. Classes will be held at Trinity School in Croydon every Wednesday evening, with advance booking required.
The sessions aim to help people with Parkinson's stay active in a friendly and supportive environment.
People with Parkinson's tell us that getting involved with the activities we run makes a real difference.
