When I was in my early 20s, I was visiting a family member in Warsaw and noticed that there was nowhere to eat. I saw an opportunity for more dining options.
In Poland, people respected my title and toughness. Although I was young and female, all I needed to do to earn respect in the restaurant industry was show up and be tough.
