Huawei's cloud division has expanded markedly outside China, reporting a 50% growth with extensive adoption in Europe. The company now serves over 33,000 customers and has established partnerships with 140 carriers and 500 financial institutions. Jacqueline Shi, president of Huawei Cloud, attributes this success to a customer-centric approach, prioritizing tailored services. Additionally, Gartner recognized Huawei as a 'Challenger' in the Cloud Database Management Systems Magic Quadrant, which underscores the importance of meeting local needs and showcases the company's strategic shift towards AI native solutions at its recent Cloud Summit.
"Cloud is a global business and the hyperscalers have their own advantages," Shi said. "Huawei Cloud practices 'everything as a service', which means we care a lot about our customer's needs. We listen to them and customize our solutions to them."
Gartner named Huawei a 'Challenger' in its Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems, based on vendors' ability to execute a 'completeness of vision'. This highlights Huawei's customer-centric approach.
