Julien Pradels, currently Christie's head of operations, is set to be promoted to regional president of the Americas this spring, succeeding Bonnie Brennan. With 14 years at Christie's, Pradels has held key leadership roles across various regions and was instrumental in launching Christie's Shanghai auction. He faces challenges in a declining market, as the auction house reported a 6% sales drop last year. His new position will involve overseeing strategic direction and growth for North and South America, as the company navigates these difficult market conditions.
I look forward to continuing my work innovating, collaborating and bringing colleagues together, as I know that is the best way for us to stay strong, grow and make positive change.
Pradels will be tasked with strategic direction, business growth and operations across North and South America, amid a challenging market for auction houses.
