Belgium's BiocSol lands 4.4M from Dutch-based Pymwymic, others
Briefly

Belgium-based BiocSol, a spin-off from UCLouvain, has successfully raised €4.4M in funding to advance its sustainable crop protection solutions. The round included investment from Pymwymic and Walloon Region's Win4company programme. BiocSol focuses on developing microbial biopesticides to combat threats from fungal pathogens that significantly impact global food production. The founding team plans to utilize this funding for research and developing proof of concept for their first two biofungicide products, with a larger goal of raising €10M to expedite their efforts in sustainable agriculture.
"Given BiocSol's strong biosolution pipeline and ability to develop microbial substances for a wide range of different crops, we believe that it has real potential to make a positive impact on the agricultural sector."
"We are proud to be part of a project with such great potential, well-respected co-investors and partners, and, of course, an expert team led by Denis Payen and Simon Caulier."
