Adara Ventures has successfully announced the first close of its fourth flagship fund, AV4, with a target of €100M in commitments. This venture capital firm focuses on early-stage investments in vital areas like cybersecurity, applied AI, and digital health. Nico Goulet, the Founding Partner, emphasized the firm’s robust fundraising despite current challenges, boasting a strong DPI record and disciplined strategies. Notably, Adara counts over 130 limited partners, including notable institutional entities. The fund aims to invest in three projects each from both the AV4 and its energy-transition focused AVE fund by mid-2025.
Nico Goulet, Founding Partner of Adara Ventures, states, 'In one of the most challenging fundraising environments of the past 20 years, our strong DPI record, disciplined investment strategy, and focused fund model make AV4 a compelling opportunity for our limited partners.'
Goulet emphasizes the importance of their unique investment philosophy, saying, 'In a sector obsessed with unicorns, our philosophy has always been to maximise 'dragons'-companies that return the entire fund.'
He added, 'We are especially proud to welcome new anchor investors in this first close, as well as a new generation of Adara portfolio founders investing as LPs -a true testament to the strength of our value proposition.'
