Ursula von der Leyen re-elected for second term as European Commission president after winning over Greens

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen secured her second term, supported by Green MEPs pledging to uphold Europe's green transition while lessening the impacts on industry.

Von der Leyen was re-elected with 401 votes in favor, 284 against, and 15 abstentions, surpassing the necessary 361 votes.
