He stated, 'I am very much engaged in this job,' insisting that despite not visiting, he has maintained contact with many in Westminster and has prior experience in Northern Ireland.
Burghart explained, 'getting the funding for trips has not been as easy as I would have liked,' highlighting budgetary constraints faced by MPs.
Despite the challenges, he expressed a greater fondness for Northern Ireland, asserting, 'I hope one of the reasons I was appointed to the role is that I am very familiar with Northern Ireland.'
