An Albanian appeals court upheld a two-year prison sentence for mayor-elect Dhionisios Alfred Beleris for alleged vote-buying, amid claims of political motivation and tension with Greece.
Despite his election to European Parliament, Beleris will remain in prison until October, as he's serving time for a crime in a non-EU country, contributing to strained Greece-Albania relations.
