Status Yellow rain warnings issued for nine counties ahead of 'unsettled' Easter weekend

Met Éireann has issued several weather warnings for various counties in Ireland, including Cork, Kerry, Galway, and Mayo, to address the threat of localised flooding due to heavy rainfall. The warnings begin as early as 11pm tonight and last into the weekend, with temperatures ranging from 4 to 15 degrees. A generally wet and breezy weekend is expected, with some uncertainty for Easter Sunday, although there may be drier weather in the east.
The first warning will come into effect for counties Cork and Kerry at 11pm tonight and remain in place until noon on Friday.
Met Éireann has issued a further Status Yellow warning for Galway and Mayo between 6am tomorrow morning until 9pm on Friday night.
A wet and breezy day with showery spells of rain that could turn heavy at times are forecast on Friday.
The Easter weekend will be "unsettled" with rain and showers, while the driest weather is expected later on Saturday and early on Easter Sunday.
