More than 500 people crossed the English Channel in small boats on Wednesday, with a total of 4,043 people making the crossing this year, exceeding last year's numbers.
We continue to work closely with French police who are facing increasing violence and disruption on their beaches as they work tirelessly to prevent these dangerous, illegal and unnecessary journeys.
