Met Eireann issues Status Yellow rain warning for five counties tonight

A weather warning is in effect for Dublin, Louth, Meath, Wexford, and Wicklow, lasting from 9pm until 2pm Wednesday. After a dry start with some sunny spells in the west, light rain is expected in the southeast. Temperatures will range from 9 to 12 degrees, dropping to between -1 and 4 degrees overnight. Mixed forecasts for Thursday predict showers in the west and sunshine in the east. Unsettled weather continues with widespread rain forecasted for Friday, and similar conditions are predicted for the weekend.
The warning will come into effect for counties Dublin, Louth, Meath, Wexford and Wicklow from 9pm this evening and will remain in place until 2pm on Wednesday.
Met Éireann forecast a dry day across much of the country today with occasional sunny breaks and some isolated showers pushing in across counties along the western coast.
