Affini expressed his emotional response to the victory, saying, 'It’s a great feeling. It’s been a long time without a win. I’ve always done my job.'
Reflecting on his recent struggles, Affini admitted, 'The last three weeks have been a difficult Vuelta for me ... but strangely enough, I felt quite OK.'
