The Danish Salling Group plans to add a black star on electronic price tags for European-made products to help consumers easily identify and choose them over US brands. This initiative arises amidst rising dissatisfaction with President Trump's policies, particularly concerning Greenland. Salling's CEO, Anders Hagh, clarified that this is not a boycott but rather a response to customer interest in supporting European goods. Other retailers in Denmark are also reducing US products, indicating a growing trend among European consumers to express political stances through purchasing choices.
We will continue to have brands on the shelves from all over the world, and it will always be up to the customers to choose.
We are making it easier to shop for European brands,
