"For the central and southern Sierra Nevada: Total snow accumulations 5 to 8 inches. Winds gusting to 35 mph. For Pine Mountain Club and Mount Pinos: Total snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting to 25 mph. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes, according to the NWS."

Winds will gust to 35 mph in the central and southern Sierra and to 25 mph at Pine Mountain Club and Mount Pinos. Roads, bridges, and overpasses will likely become slick, making travel difficult and potentially impacting evening and morning commutes. Drivers should slow down, use caution, and obtain current road conditions by calling 511. Watch for icy steps, sidewalks, and downed power lines.
