Meet the artists behind the UN's second annual nature sounds mixtape
Briefly

On this Earth Day, the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live has released the second volume of its initiative, Sounds Right, which features artists producing songs that incorporate nature sounds. Last year, the initiative generated over $200,000 for conservation efforts. Artists like Raveena and George the Poet share their experiences with nature and the importance of blending art with activism. While Raveena's contribution, "Morning Prayer," evokes meditative moments, George emphasizes the juxtaposition between escapism and activism. Artists such as Magnus Munster highlight the larger narrative of climate positivity and personal growth in the face of environmental challenges.
"We grew up in public housing, and that's often imagined to be grey and hard and not have much green. But in our experience, there was just green all around us."
"It's a really beautiful initiative, and I believe in the potential of the project as a part of a bigger personal journey of being as climate positive as I can."
