Richmond Station now has a multi-storey cycle hub providing capacity for 650 cycle parking spaces. Richmond Council invested £664,000 and delivery was in partnership with South Western Railway. The hub's roof-mounted solar panels will generate approximately 24,500 kWh of renewable energy annually, equivalent to about eight UK homes. The facility includes a 60m² living green wall planted with 4,000 plants and pollinators and a 1,500-litre rainwater harvesting system. The structure occupies the station's existing car park with cycle storage on two upper floors and cars retained on the ground floor. The hub has 24-hour CCTV and will be managed by Lockit-safe.
