A flood watch is in effect from early Tuesday through Friday, Dec. 26 at 10 p.m. for Marin Coastal Range, Sonoma Coastal Range, North Bay Interior Mountains, Coastal North Bay including Point Reyes National Seashore, and North Bay Interior Valleys. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and runoff may inundate rivers, creeks, streams, low-lying locations, poor drainage and urban areas, and low water crossings. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Residents in flood-prone areas should monitor forecasts, be alert for Flood Warnings, and be prepared to take action.
