Wolves have sacked manager Gary O'Neil following their last-gasp 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday, marking a disappointing run.
Despite signing a four-year extension in August, O'Neil's Wolves struggled defensively, conceding a league-worst 40 goals after just 16 games this season.
The defeat to Ipswich marked Wolves' fourth consecutive league loss, leaving them sitting 19th in the Premier League table, just four points above Southampton.
O'Neil becomes the third Premier League head coach relieved this season, joining Erik ten Hag of Manchester United and Steve Cooper of Leicester City.
