Stephen Kenny hails his 'fantastic' St Pat's side after brave European run ended by Istanbul Basaksehir
Briefly

After the defeat, Saints midfielder Jamie Lennon reflected on a "tough" night in Istanbul and said his side genuinely felt they were capable of making history. "I felt at half-time we came in, they might have had the bulk of possession but I thought we had the two best chances early on in the game but we didn't take them," said Lennon. "At half-time we spoke about how we were still well in it."
Kenny looked back on the European run with pride, stating, "Over the European campaign they have been absolutely fantastic. To score five goals against Vaduz, then to beat an outstanding team in Sabah, two clean sheets against a side with a €12m budget... We probably should have taken a lead out here, but we didn't. We just came out on the wrong side in the end."
