Novak Djokovic laments favouritism' towards Jannik Sinner over doping ban
Briefly

Novak Djokovic has stated that many players feel there is favoritism shown to Jannik Sinner regarding his three-month doping ban for two positive tests. The World Anti-Doping Agency accepted Sinner's account of accidental contamination but still deemed the athlete responsible for the negligence of his entourage. Djokovic pointed out a widespread sentiment among players regarding perceived inconsistencies in handling doping cases, contrasting Sinner's situation with those of other players like Simona Halep and Tara Moore, who faced harsher penalties under similar circumstances.
A majority of the players don't feel it's fair. A majority of the players feel like there is favouritism happening. It appears that you can almost affect the outcome if you are a top player, if you have access to the top lawyers.
There's a majority of the players that I've talked to in the locker room... that are not happy with the way this whole process has been handled.
Sinner reached a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) over two positive drug tests in March last year, where his explanation of being contaminated by his physio was accepted.
The athlete bears responsibility for the entourage's negligence. Therefore, Sinner is suspended from 9 February until 4 May, allowing him to play at the French Open.
