"I've never seen anything like it. He must've been asked if he was OK. He took his position on the pitch and started retching. He was doing it as he went down the tunnel. Trying to get sick every two seconds. I do hope he's OK."
"In the first 45 minutes, Ramsey was probably Newcastle's best player, full of energy and drive and providing the one moment of quality that got the home side level."
During Newcastle United's match against Everton at St James' Park, midfielder Jacob Ramsey experienced a sudden illness at halftime. Despite starting the match and scoring Newcastle's equalizing goal with a deflected strike, Ramsey became unwell as he prepared to resume play in the second half. He was seen vomiting on the pitch and retching as he returned to the tunnel. Manager Eddie Howe immediately substituted him with Joe Willock. Ramsey had been a doubt before the match due to a tight hamstring but had performed well in the first half. At the time of his substitution, Everton led 2-1 following goals from Beto and Jarrad Branthwaite, with Newcastle's goalkeeper Nick Pope having made a significant error.
