Hartlepool United has announced the appointment of Simon Grayson as their new manager following the dismissal of Anthony Limbrick. Grayson, who has previously managed several clubs in England and won a title in Nepal, is expected to revitalize the team after a disappointing 11th-place finish last season. He expressed his commitment to working collaboratively with the club's staff and supporters to restore its former glory. Club chairman Raj Singh noted that Grayson had long been a preferred candidate for the managerial position.
"The club has gone through some tough times recently but by working hard together as a staff and fanbase we can bring back the good times which this football club deserves."
"I'm delighted that Simon has accepted the role... he's been my preferred candidate in the past when we've looked for managers, but for one reason or the other it didn't come off."
