After losing key player Kai Havertz to injury, they found a solution in Mikel Merino, who scored twice late in the game following impressive efforts from Ethan Nwaneri. This victory solidified Arsenal's position in second place while Leicester remains struggling in the relegation zone.
Merino headed in from Nwaneri's superb cross to break the deadlock in the 81st minute, doubling his tally six minutes later, sealing a valuable victory.
Arteta expressed his disappointment at Arsenal not being able to add to his attacking ranks in January, but perhaps the solution was already in his ranks in north London.
