Leyton Orient's Richie Wellens expressed concerns about the intense competition in League One, highlighting that up to 16 teams are striving for promotion with big budgets and ambitions.
Wellens noted the 'absolute madness' of having so many clubs with high expectations and financial power, emphasizing that the league's competitive nature is both thrilling and daunting for his bottom-placed team.
Reflecting on his team's dismal start, Wellens stated, "Our mentality was wrong...it would be irresponsible for me to sugarcoat that and brush it under the carpet."
Despite early struggles, Wellens acknowledged some positive performances, pointing out, "We're doing a lot of good things, three of the four performances have been good against teams who are going for the play-offs."
