Eddie Howe confirmed that Sandro Tonali will return to Newcastle's squad for the EFL Cup after a 10-month absence due to a betting regulations ban.
Howe highlighted Tonali's hard work during his ban, saying, 'He is fit, he just hasn't had the game time. It will be an incredible release for him.'
Regarding Callum Wilson, Howe noted, 'Callum is continuing his rehabilitation from injury; I am happy with his progress and hope to get him back soon.'
