Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United has secured the signing of Manuel Ugarte from PSG for a total fee of 60 million euros. Ugarte showed a clear desire to join United and was their primary target, as the club sought to strengthen their midfield for the upcoming season.
Romano stated, "Manchester United only had eyes for Ugarte; they did not even think about signing anyone else. He was their number one target from the beginning and was seen as the perfect fit for their midfield needs."
In a statement about the financial balance, Romano noted, "To comply with Profit & Sustainability Rules, Manchester United will also need to make player departures, with Scott McTominay expected to leave for Napoli imminently to facilitate new signings."
