The most serious accusation was tampering with the scoring process of the Regents, and that was not supported by evidence, said Larry Aronstein, the district's new interim superintendent...
Former school board president Jarod Morris... said the three administrators 'worked in concert' to change grades for about 48 eighth-graders who participated in the credit recovery program held in spring 2023.
Aronstein rebutted Morris' account. 'They did not manipulate the grades,' Aronstein said in an interview on Monday. 'They followed the plan that had been developed, thinking that it was in compliance with the state regulations.'
Aronstein acknowledged that the plan was not in full conformity with state regulations.
