Skye, a therapy dog, has positively impacted students at H. Ashton Marsh Elementary for nearly ten years. He, along with another therapy dog named Hope, assisted students in finding calmness in the classroom and during reading lessons and counseling sessions. After more than 1,000 visits, Skye has retired. Students honored Skye's contributions with a farewell ceremony known as the 4th-grade clap-out, marking their transition to Emma C. Attales Middle School. The therapy dog program at Absecon Public Schools continues to support student well-being and learning.
