Police said the juvenile made school shooting-related threats Tuesday against Bristow Middle School, a school with 1,100 students southeast of Antioch.
"Our community's safety is of utmost importance to us, and we want to reassure everyone that we take these threats very seriously," the department wrote on Facebook.
According to police, the school received at least two threatening text messages last week.
