Call to end hire and fire football manager' culture in schools

"Overly simplistic school inspection judgments, such as inadequate or needs improvement, often trigger abrupt changes to management, which has fuelled a football manager culture in schools," says the IPPR.
"Ofsted reports should be split in two: a parent-friendly narrative that captures the essence of a school community and a technical improvement report aimed at both school leaders and the regulator," recommends the IPPR report.
"There is a need for a more balanced approach to school inspections that recognises the complexity of performance and context in schools," says the IPPR."
