Beverly students to attend Saturday school to make up for strike days, officials announce
Briefly

In the first school committee meeting since a weeks-long teachers strike in November, officials decided that students will make up missed days through Saturday classes and vacation days.
The option members chose was to schedule up to four instructional school days on Saturdays in January, February, March, and April, totaling one per month.
This decision was made as a response to the 12 days missed due to the strike, with remote work not being an option for students.
The remaining days will also be added to the end of the school year calendar, changing the last day of school to June 23.
