Berkeley Chess School / Rangr Studio
Briefly

The Berkeley Chess School has not only educated 7,000 children annually but has also produced three grandmasters, making it a leader in chess education.
By emphasizing free and low-cost access to chess, BCS plays a critical role in promoting social equity and empowering children for future academic success.
The design addition by Rangr Studio, featuring a chessboard facade, enhances the building's identity and creates an urban landmark that represents the school’s mission.
Utilizing inexpensive glass in a creative way, the facade design serves as both a functional window and a striking visual representation of chess.
