Bay Area student arrested on campus with a handgun in his backpack

An Armijo High School student ended up in Solano County Juvenile Hall Tuesday after his arrest following a search of his backpack, which yielded a semi-automatic handgun.In a press statement issued Wednesday, Fairfield Police Department officials said Officer James Lewis, a school resource officer assigned to the 824 Washington St. campus, learned of an ongoing issue between two male students (both minors), in which one student threatened to physically harm the other.
