The survey reveals that schools lacking supportive environments for LGBTQ+ students correlate with a higher likelihood of verbal and physical assaults, highlighting the urgent need for inclusive policies.
The presence of gay-straight alliances and gender-neutral bathrooms is crucial for safeguarding LGBTQ+ youth; however, schools with anti-LGBTQ+ policies typically lack such supportive resources.
