The Oakley library and community center is benefitting from a $400,000 grant from the Dean and Margaret Lesher Foundation, but faces a significant funding challenge with a total project need of $28 million. Currently, the city has secured about $10.5 million through a combination of public funding, donations, and fundraising. Assistant City Manager Danielle Navarro noted that the total funding will determine the project's final size, with an initial design proposal now underway as part of a public-private partnership.
