Millennium, a celebrated plant-based restaurant in Oakland, is set to close on May 16 due to financial challenges. Co-owner Alison Bagby stated that the restaurant is not busy enough to remain operational. Established in 1994 in San Francisco, Millennium gained acclaim for its global-inspired vegan cuisine. Despite winning a Bib Gourmand award and a loyal following, the pandemic significantly impacted its business. Bagby expressed gratitude to customers for their support during these difficult times.
