Ballyhoo Hospitality is launching Sophia Steak in downtown Chicago on March 6, succeeding Gemini Grill at 748 N. State Street. This marks Sophia Steak's second location, following its debut in Wilmette five years ago. Notably, this area will also host The Alston, another steakhouse, intensifying competition in the locale.

Glenn Keefer and Ryan O'Donnell, co-founders of Sophia Steak, have backgrounds in notable restaurants, with Keefer previously heading Keefer's for 13 years.
While Sophia Steak opens its new location, another steakhouse called The Alston will debut nearby, creating competition at the same address.
