The Hub, a bar boasting a 30-foot wall of TVs and creative pub food, is now open within Plank, Jack London Square's bowling alley/bar hybrid. The Hub considers itself an expansion of Plank, which, until now, hadn't offered many indoor seating and dining options."
Obelisco, a family-owned restaurant, reopened on Lakeshore Avenue after closing its Fruitvale location in December. The menu includes ceviches, tacos, enchiladas and pollo en mole, accompanied by a lineup of tequila- and mezcal-forward cocktails. Obelisco is in soft-opening mode and plans a grand opening on September 16; the restaurant is located at 3407 Lakeshore Ave., Oakland. The Hub, a new watch bar focused on sports fans, opened in Jack London Square inside Plank. The Hub features a 30-foot wall of TVs, creative pub food and expands Plank’s indoor seating and dining options; its address is 98 Broadway, Oakland.
