An Oakland man, Geremias Lopez, has been charged with multiple felonies for allegedly molesting a girl over several years, discovered by her mother.
Lopez faces 15 felony charges, including lewd acts on a minor and unlawful sexual intercourse, with bail set at $1.2 million.
According to police records, Lopez became romantically involved with the girl when he was 17 and she was just 12.
The abuse was revealed when the girl's mother witnessed Lopez in the act, prompting her to call the police immediately.
