Belal Aftab, Saratoga's new mayor, emphasizes traffic safety, community vitality, and housing impacts, aiming to enhance Safe Routes to School and improve commercial areas.
"I'm a believer that sometimes if you just really focus on a thing and just pay attention to it, things get done," Aftab remarked on his focus areas.
"It's an honor and a privilege that my fellow council members have selected me, for which I am deeply grateful and I want to do justice to," Aftab stated.
Aftab plans to encourage students to use alternate modes of transportation, improve traffic safety at key intersections, and support the revitalization of Saratoga's commercial areas.
