Disneyland unveils a new Haunted Mansion attic bride without her axe or murder on her mind
Briefly

Disney Imagineering has reimagined the Black Widow Bride of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, transforming her from a hatchet-wielding killer into a heartbroken figure mourning lost love.
The new storyline presents the bride as a grieving, lovesick figure, emphasizing themes of loss and longing rather than her previous role as an axe murderer.
Creative director Kim Irvine explains, "We thought, what if we change the story back a little bit to the original story that the Imagineers had about a lost bride in the attic mourning the loss of her husbands."
The revamped attraction features a bride who levitates with a beating heart and candelabra, creating an emotional atmosphere and inviting riders to ponder her past.
