The first rain of a weeklong series of storms is expected to arrive in the Bay Area around noon Wednesday, Feb. 14.
In the Lake Tahoe area, a winter weather advisory is in effect through 10 a.m. Thursday, with a forecast of 10 to 20 inches of snow above 7,000 feet elevation and wind gusts up to 85 mph on the ridges.
