Ahsan Khan stated, "We want everyone to be confident that Waltham Forest is a great place to live and age well for all," acknowledging service failures.
Despite requesting an extra bedroom and medical priority, Miss X was placed in band 3 and faced considerable delays in the council's response.
The council's delayed response caused Miss X prolonged distress, leading to further health issues and an escalation of her complaint to the ombudsman.
