A recent ransomware attack at ADP's Middle Eastern subsidiary, Business Systems House (BSH), has compromised personal data of former and current Broadcom employees. Although Broadcom transitioned to a new payroll provider before the incident, the theft was significant, and the company has been communicating with affected individuals since then. Investigations revealed that the El Dorado ransomware group was behind the attack, which surfaced information about employee data online months later. Broadcom and BSH are working to bolster security measures and are engaging law enforcement in their response to the breach.
In late September, 2024, BSH/ADP became aware of the ransomware attack, which led to personal data being made available online in December 2024.
BSH and ADP have been collaborating with external experts to investigate the ransomware incident while taking steps to enhance security and protect against future attacks.
